Features

What makes the F4 work

The F4 is EP's most basic powered pallet truck. It keeps things simple and light, and lets you match the forks and batteries to your work.

Plug-in lithium batteries

The F4 runs on 24V 20Ah lithium-ion packs that weigh around 5 kg each. Two fit as standard and you can specify up to four. Swap a flat pack for a charged one and keep going, with no watering or battery maintenance.

Light and easy to steer

At 120 kg the F4 is easy to push into position and simple to move around site. With only 400 mm from the drive end to the fork face and a 1,360 mm turning radius, it fits into tight back rooms and short aisles.

Three fork sizes, all in stock

Choose 560 x 1150 mm forks for Euro pallets, 560 x 1000 mm for Euro and CHEP pallets, or 685 x 1000 mm for CHEP and bottom-boarded pallets. We hold all three sizes in stock.

Optional stabilising wheels

Stabilising wheels can be fitted at the factory or added later. They help keep large or heavy pallets steady and give more confidence on floors that are not perfectly flat.

Steady walking pace

The F4 travels at 4 km/h laden and 4.5 km/h empty, a comfortable pace for a walking operator. An electromagnetic brake stops it when you let go, and it will take a 6% slope with a load.

Low running costs

Polyurethane tyres, a simple mechanical steering design and lithium batteries keep upkeep to a minimum. Our engineers look after it from Navan and Portadown when it does need attention.

Questions about the F4

Which F4 fork size should I choose?

Pick 560 x 1150 mm for Euro pallets, 560 x 1000 mm if you handle both Euro and CHEP pallets, or 685 x 1000 mm for CHEP and bottom-boarded pallets. The 685 mm forks won't take Euro pallets both ways. All three sizes are in stock, and current F4 offers are on our F4 offer page.

How many batteries does the F4 need?

Two 24V 20Ah packs are standard and suit most daily use. A single pack is enough for occasional moves, and up to four can be specified for full-shift work, so a charged pack is always ready to swap in.

How is the F4 different from the F4-201?

The F4-201 lifts 2,000 kg instead of 1,500 kg, runs on a 48V system with a brushless drive, and climbs an 8% slope laden against 6% for the F4. It weighs 140 kg against the F4's 120 kg.

Can the F4 work on uneven floors?

On reasonably flat floors, yes. Optional stabilising wheels help with heavy or uneven loads. If your floors are patchy, the EPL154 has floating stabilising wheels as standard.

Can the F4 handle ramps?

EP rates it at 6% with a load and 16% empty, so gentle ramps are fine. For steeper dock ramps, a heavy-duty truck such as the WPL202 manages 10% laden.

When should I look at something bigger than the F4?

If your pallets go over 1.5 t, the truck runs most of the day, or the runs are long, a heavy-duty walk-behind or a ride-on pallet truck will suit better. See the full warehouse range.

Can I hire the F4?

Yes, on contract hire from 12 months, with servicing and repairs included in one fixed monthly payment. We don't offer short-term hire. See forklift hire.

How much does the F4 cost?
