No battery swaps, no battery room
For a busy DC, lead-acid batteries mean spare batteries, a battery room, a changeover routine and staff to do it. Lithium-ion removes all of that: charge on breaks and shift changes, and keep the truck working.

Safety in busy warehouses
DCs mix trucks, people and lorries in a small space, often around the clock.
Republic of Ireland
Forklifts must have a thorough examination by a competent person at least every 12 months, or every 6 months if used to lift people, under the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. 299/2007, Schedule 1). Our engineers carry out and certify these GA1 examinations.
Northern Ireland
LOLER (NI) 1999 sets the same intervals: a thorough examination at least every 12 months, or every 6 months for equipment lifting people. Our Portadown engineers carry out LOLER examinations across all six counties.
People and trucks
EP blue spot and red zone lights, speed limits, 360° camera options and telematics help keep busy aisles safe.
Exhaust indoors
Irish regulations restrict combustion-engined equipment indoors without safe ventilation (S.I. 299/2007, Reg. 37). Electric fleets avoid it.

What trucks does a typical distribution centre need?
Usually ride-on pallet trucks for the dock, reach trucks for high racking, order pickers for picking, and a counterbalance forklift for the yard. We size the fleet to your volumes on a free survey.
Can lithium-ion trucks run 24/7?
Yes, with opportunity charging on breaks and shift changes. Many 24/7 sites run lithium trucks with no battery swaps. We size batteries and chargers to your shift pattern.
How high can EP reach trucks lift?
The EP CQD16 PRO seated reach truck lifts to around 9.6 m and the CQD14 PRO to around 8 m. Walk-behind reach trucks lift to about 5.5 m.
Can you automate part of our warehouse?
Yes. EP automated pallet trucks, stackers and tow tractors can take over repeat moves without changes to your building. See them working at our Navan demo warehouse.
Do you supply fleets for 3PLs in Northern Ireland?
Yes. Our Portadown depot supplies and services fleets across Northern Ireland, including Belfast, Lisburn, Newry and the M1 corridor, with quotes in sterling.
