Keep the line fed and the yard moving
Manufacturing is the backbone of the economy in the counties we work in: Cavan and Monaghan in the Republic, and Mid-Ulster and Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon in Northern Ireland. In those areas a breakdown on the production line isn't an inconvenience, it's lost output.
We supply manufacturers with EP electric forklifts from 1 to 25 tonnes, tow tractors for line feeding, and automated pallet trucks for repeat moves, all maintained by our own engineers.

The handling problems we solve for manufacturers
Material handling isn't your product, but when it stops, so does everything else.
Multi-shift work
Two or three shifts leave no time to swap or charge lead-acid batteries.
Our answer: Lithium-ion opportunity charging on breaks keeps trucks running across shifts.
Heavy and awkward loads
Moulds, coils, steel and finished machines are heavy and bulky.
Our answer: EP electric forklifts from 5 t to 25 t, including the HV high-voltage range.
Feeding the line
Forklifts shuttling parts to the line are slow and risky around people.
Our answer: Tow tractors pulling trains of trolleys, or automated pallet trucks.
Fumes in the factory
Diesel and gas trucks inside production halls affect air quality.
Our answer: Electric only, with zero exhaust.
Labour shortages
Finding and keeping drivers is harder every year.
Our answer: EP automated pallet trucks for repeat moves. See them working in Navan.
Breakdowns stop output
A dead truck stops the line.
Our answer: Planned maintenance and a same-day response target from local engineers.
Which EP machine for which manufacturing job
Typical choices for production sites. We match capacities and lift heights to your loads on the survey.
| The job | EP machine | Why it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Raw materials in, finished goods out | EP EFL303 or EP EFL353 | 3 to 3.5 t lithium-ion forklifts on a diesel-style chassis for the yard and dock. |
| Very heavy loads, moulds and steel | EFL504 to EFL2503-HV | Electric forklifts from 5 t up to 25 t. |
| Feeding parts to the production line | QDD30S or QDD301T tow tractor | Tows up to 3 t of trolleys in one trip. |
| Moving work in progress between cells | EP F4 or WPL202 pallet truck | Small lithium pallet trucks for short, frequent moves. |
| Storing components in racking | EP CPD18FVL or reach trucks | Compact dual-drive forklifts and reach trucks for warehouse aisles. |
| Repeat pallet runs, every shift | EP XP15 automated pallet truck | Runs on its own between fixed points, around people. |

Lower running costs, cleaner air, fewer stoppages
EP builds its own lithium-ion batteries and electric drives, and the high-voltage HV range now does jobs that used to need large diesels.
For a manufacturer, the biggest saving is usually uptime. Lithium-ion trucks can be charged in short bursts, need no battery swaps, and have far fewer parts to wear.
- Electric forklifts up to 25 tonnes
- Opportunity charging for multi-shift work
- No fumes in production halls
- Lower energy and service costs
- Telematics to track use and impacts

What manufacturers say about us
★★★★★"We are impressed with the build quality of the new EP forklifts but also have been impressed throughout our relationship with Clearlift on their fast, professional and efficient service."
Polyfab Plastics, Cavan
★★★★★"During the recent renewal process for our fleet of trucks Clearlift listened to what we required, got an understanding of our daily operation by carrying out a full site survey and responded in a professional fashion with a very competitive proposal. We now have a range of the EP forklifts in our factory that is well suited to our busy operation."

Automate the moves that never change
Most factories have pallet moves that happen hundreds of times a week, such as the end of the line to the warehouse. EP automated pallet trucks take them over, safely, around your people, without changes to your building.

Safety and compliance on the factory floor
Forklifts and people working side by side is one of the biggest risks in any factory.
Republic of Ireland
Forklifts must have a thorough examination by a competent person at least every 12 months, or every 6 months if used to lift people, under the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. 299/2007, Schedule 1). Our engineers carry out and certify these GA1 examinations.
Northern Ireland
LOLER (NI) 1999 sets the same intervals: a thorough examination at least every 12 months, or every 6 months for equipment lifting people. Our Portadown engineers carry out LOLER examinations across all six counties.
Exhaust indoors
Irish regulations restrict combustion-engined equipment indoors without safe ventilation (S.I. 299/2007, Reg. 37). Electric trucks remove the issue.
Pedestrian safety
EP blue spot and red zone lights, speed limits and 360° camera options help keep people and trucks apart.

Manufacturing forklift questions
Can electric forklifts handle heavy manufacturing loads?
Yes. EP's electric range goes from 1 tonne up to 25 tonnes, including the high-voltage HV range for heavy outdoor work. See our high capacity forklifts.
Will lithium-ion forklifts work on two or three shifts?
Yes. Lithium-ion batteries can be opportunity charged on breaks without damage, so many multi-shift sites run without battery swaps. We size the battery and charger on the survey.
What is a tow tractor used for in a factory?
Tow tractors pull a train of trolleys to feed parts to the production line, moving several loads in one trip instead of many forklift trips. EP tow tractors tow from 1 to 6 tonnes.
Can I see automated pallet trucks working before I buy?
Yes. Our Navan depot has a demo warehouse where EP automated pallet trucks run live. Book a demo.
Can we hire instead of buying?
Yes. Our contract hire runs from 12 months, at a fixed monthly cost with servicing, repairs and thorough examinations included. We don't do short-term or weekly hire. See contract hire.
Do you do free site surveys?
Yes. We visit your site anywhere in Ireland or Northern Ireland, check aisle widths, door heights, floors, ramps and loads, and recommend the right machines in writing. There is no charge and no obligation.
