What makes the EFL353S work

The S version of the EFL353 keeps the same battery and frame but adds more powerful motors. Here's what that changes.

More power, same battery

The S swaps the EFL353's 10 kW drive and 16 kW lift motors for 17 kW and 26 kW units. It keeps the 80V 280Ah lithium-ion battery.

Faster on the move

Travel speed rises to 16 km/h laden and 17 km/h unladen, from 11 and 12 km/h on the EFL353. Lift speed goes up to 0.4 m/s laden.

Better on ramps

Against the standard EFL353's 15%, the S climbs 18% with a load and 25% empty, thanks to a 17 kW drive motor in place of 10 kW. Loading docks and site slopes take less time.

Joystick option

The S can have hydraulic fingertip controls on the armrest in place of levers. Forks, direction, horn and emergency stop are all within easy reach.

Tough engine-truck build

Underneath, the EFL353S is an engine forklift chassis from EP's T8 range, riding on large solid tyres with 185 mm of clearance. Plug in outdoors without worry: the charging port is rain-proofed.

All-weather options

With 16 km/h laden travel, the S tends to work the yard, so think about weather kit. Its guard comes with a glass roof, and you can order a windscreen, semi-cab, full cab, heater or A/C to suit Irish winters.

Questions about the EFL353S

How is the EFL353S different from the EFL353?

Same 3.5 t capacity, chassis and 280Ah battery. The S has stronger motors (17 kW drive, 26 kW lift), travels at 16 km/h laden instead of 11, and climbs 18% laden instead of 15%.

How does it compare to the EFL353P?

They share the 17 kW drive motor and the same frame. The P swaps the 280Ah battery for 460Ah, travels at 19 km/h laden against 16 km/h, and climbs 20% laden against 18%. Pick the S for one busy shift and the P for long days or several shifts.

Can the EFL353S work outside?

Yes, the EFL353S is made for yards, on solid tyres that can't puncture and with 185 mm under the wheelbase. Its 18% laden gradeability helps on ramps, the charge port is rain-proofed, and heated or air-conditioned cabs are available for winter.

Can I get joystick controls?

Yes, as an option on the EFL353S (and the P). A hydraulic fingertip unit at the end of the armrest replaces the levers, so an operator moving 3.5 t loads all shift works with small finger movements, including direction, horn and emergency stop.

Can it replace my diesel forklift?

If your 3.5 t diesel does heavy, steady work, the S is the usual swap. It travels at 16 km/h laden, climbs 18% and runs on an 80V 280Ah battery, with no fumes when it comes inside. Tell us your loads, distances and ground and we'll confirm.

Can I hire the EFL353S?

Yes, on contract hire from 12 months, with servicing and repairs included in one fixed monthly payment. We don't offer short-term hire. See forklift hire.
