Clean, controlled and fully documented
Ireland is one of the world's biggest exporters of medicines and medical devices, with major sites around Cork, Dublin, Limerick, Waterford and Galway, and a growing life sciences sector in Northern Ireland. These are sites where audits are constant and nothing can contaminate product.
Every truck we supply is electric, so there's no exhaust or fuel on site. Lithium-ion batteries remove acid and charging gas too. Our service records and thorough examination certificates give your quality team the paperwork they need.

The handling problems pharma and medtech sites face
We don't claim cleanroom certification. What we offer is clean, quiet, well-maintained electric equipment with the records to prove it.
Contamination risk
Exhaust particles, fuel and battery acid have no place near medicines or devices.
Our answer: All-electric EP trucks with sealed lithium-ion batteries. Nothing to burn, spill or vent.
Audit trail
GMP and GDP auditors want to see that equipment is maintained and examined on schedule.
Our answer: Planned maintenance and thorough examination certificates from our own engineers.
High racking, narrow aisles
Pharma warehouses store a lot of value in a small footprint.
Our answer: Seated reach trucks lifting to around 9.6 m, and 3-wheel forklifts for tight aisles.
Accurate weights
Goods in and out often need weighing for records and shipping.
Our answer: EP F4 pallet truck with a built-in weigh scale and printer.
Quiet working
Busy sites with people on foot need quiet, predictable trucks.
Our answer: Electric trucks are far quieter than diesel, and EP safety lights mark the truck's path.
Repetitive moves
Moving materials from stores to production is the same trip all day.
Our answer: EP automated pallet trucks, which you can see in our Navan demo warehouse.
Which EP machine for which pharma job
Typical choices for pharma and medtech warehouses and production areas.
| The job | EP machine | Why it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Storing pallets in high racking | CQD16 PRO reach truck | Seated lithium-ion reach truck lifting to around 9.6 m in narrow aisles. |
| Goods in and dispatch | EP CPD15L1 or EP CPD20L1 | Compact lithium-ion counterbalance trucks with IPX4-rated designs. |
| Weighing pallets on the move | F4 with weigh scale | Weighs and prints as you move the pallet, with no trip to a floor scale. |
| Short moves in production areas | EP F4 or ESL122 stacker | Small lithium pallet trucks and stackers that fit tight production spaces. |
| Picking cases and small orders | JX0 vertical order picker | Lets the operator pick from upper shelves safely. |
| Repeat runs from stores to the line | EP XP15 automated pallet truck | Runs on its own around people, with no floor wires. |

No acid, no gassing, no battery room
A lead-acid battery room is a hazard you have to manage: acid, hydrogen gas during charging, watering and spill kits. Lithium-ion removes all of it, and the battery's own management system logs charge cycles and faults.
Combined with EP telematics options, you can see how each truck is used and who is driving it.
- No acid spills or charging gas
- No watering or battery swaps
- Charge anywhere there's a socket
- Battery data for your maintenance records
- Lower energy use than lead-acid

Automate the runs between stores and production
EP automated pallet trucks take over repetitive pallet moves, such as stores to production or production to dispatch. They work around people safely and need no changes to your building.

A site survey first, then the right fleet
★★★★★"During the recent renewal process for our fleet of trucks Clearlift listened to what we required, got an understanding of our daily operation by carrying out a full site survey and responded in a professional fashion with a very competitive proposal. We now have a range of the EP forklifts in our factory that is well suited to our busy operation."

Compliance support for pharma warehouses
Your quality system covers your equipment. Here's where we help.
GDP warehouses
Medicines wholesalers need HPRA authorisation and must follow the EU Good Distribution Practice guidelines. Clean, maintained and documented equipment supports that.
Maintenance records
We log every service, repair and examination for each truck, so you can show auditors your equipment history.
Republic of Ireland
Forklifts must have a thorough examination by a competent person at least every 12 months, or every 6 months if used to lift people, under the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. 299/2007, Schedule 1). Our engineers carry out and certify these GA1 examinations.
Northern Ireland
LOLER (NI) 1999 sets the same intervals: a thorough examination at least every 12 months, or every 6 months for equipment lifting people. Our Portadown engineers carry out LOLER examinations across all six counties.

Pharma forklift questions
Are EP forklifts suitable for pharmaceutical warehouses?
Yes. EP electric forklifts, reach trucks and pallet trucks produce no exhaust, and lithium-ion versions have no acid or charging gas. They suit pharma and medtech warehouses and many production areas. We don't claim cleanroom certification, so tell us if a truck must enter a classified area and we'll check the requirement with EP.
Can you provide service records for audits?
Yes. We record every service, repair and thorough examination for each truck, and can supply the history for your GMP or GDP audits.
Which truck suits high racking in a pharma warehouse?
Usually a seated reach truck such as the EP CQD16 PRO, which lifts to around 9.6 m in narrow aisles. We confirm it against your racking on a free survey.
Do you cover pharma sites in Cork and Limerick?
Yes. We have engineers based in Cork, Dublin, Waterford and Mayo, as well as at our Navan depot, so pharma sites in Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Galway are covered.
Can we hire instead of buying?
Yes. Our contract hire runs from 12 months, at a fixed monthly cost with servicing, repairs and thorough examinations included. We don't do short-term or weekly hire. See contract hire.
Do you do free site surveys?
Yes. We visit your site anywhere in Ireland or Northern Ireland, check aisle widths, door heights, floors, ramps and loads, and recommend the right machines in writing. There is no charge and no obligation.
