Features
What makes the QDD45S work
The QDD45S takes the QDD30S chassis and gives it more pull and more battery. Here's what that means on your routes.
4,500 kg towing
It tows up to 4,500 kg, with a maximum drawbar pull of 2,600 N. That's 1.5 tonnes more than the QDD30S from the same footprint.
AC drive
A 2.5 kW maintenance-free AC motor and vertical gearbox give strong traction and smooth control. There are no brushes to replace.
Bigger battery
A 24V 360Ah lead-acid battery comes fitted, against 280Ah on the QDD30S. It comes out from the side for quick changes on multi-shift sites.
Compact chassis
It's 1,282 mm long and 800 mm wide on a 975 mm wheelbase, and turns in 1,168 mm. Reinforced load wheels keep heavy towing steady.
Adjustable coupling
The coupling sets at 188, 233, 277 or 322 mm to match your carts and trailers.
Safe stand-on design
Braking applies automatically when the operator steps off, and anti-rollback and electronic steering come as standard. It travels at 5 km/h laden and 7 km/h empty.

How is the QDD45S different from the QDD30S?
It tows 4,500 kg against 3,000 kg, with 2,600 N of maximum pull against 2,000 N, and has a 360Ah battery against 280Ah. It weighs 850 kg against 760 kg. Dimensions and speeds match the QDD30S.
Can it handle slopes?
It's rated for 3% laden and 15% unladen. Heavy trains should run on level floors or gentle slopes.
Will it couple to my trailers?
The coupling adjusts to 188, 233, 277 or 322 mm. Tell us your trailer coupling height and we'll confirm the fit.
Can it work outdoors?
It's designed for indoor towing on polyurethane wheels with 66 mm of ground clearance. For yards and rougher ground, the seated QDD601T has solid rubber tyres and 150 mm of clearance.
How long can it run?
That depends on the load, the route and how often it stops. The 360Ah battery can be swapped from the side for multi-shift work. Tell us your routes and we'll advise.
Can I hire the QDD45S?
Yes, on contract hire from 12 months, with servicing and repairs included in one fixed monthly payment. We don't offer short-term hire. See forklift hire.
