Robots that find their own way

EP's fully autonomous models don't follow reflectors or tape. They build a 3D map of your building with SLAM navigation and lidar, plan their own path around people and obstacles, and line up with each pallet using fork-tip lidar or 3D vision.

They are the next step when you want robots to stack into racking, run long and busy routes, charge themselves and take jobs from your warehouse system. Our XQE122 runs in the Navan demo warehouse, so you can see one working.

  • No reflectors, magnets or floor tape
  • Self-charging when idle or low
  • Links to your WMS and ERP through EP DAS

Technology

What makes them autonomous

3D SLAM navigation

Maps the building and localises itself as it drives. No reflectors, magnets or tape.

Pallet detection

Fork-tip lidar and 3D vision find the pallet pockets and check the space before each lift.

Zoned safety

Lidar safety zones slow the truck down and then stop it, with 360° coverage on the XPL201.

Self-charging

Trucks dock at their charger when idle or when the battery reaches a set level.

Fleet and WMS

EP's DAS software plans tasks, manages traffic and links to WMS and ERP. EP states it is VDA 5050 compatible.

Digital twin

EP can 3D-scan your site and build a digital twin to plan routes before the robots arrive.

How a project works

From first call to robot running in about four weeks

Most of our deployments go live in around four weeks. A standard one-task set-up is installed, programmed, tested and handed over in one day, with minimal downtime for your team.

  1. Day 1

    Call & demo

A 15-minute call about your routes, then a demo in our Navan automation centre if you want one.

  2. Week 1

    Site survey

We walk your site, or you send a walkthrough video and a few drawings. We map the routes worth automating.

  3. Week 1-2

    Scope & proof

We agree the task, the success measures and a proof of concept, and fix your install date within 48 hours of the go-ahead.

  4. Week 2-3

    Delivery from stock

Your EP robot ships from European stock and arrives in about a week.

  5. Week 3-4

    Install & support

Installed, programmed, tested and your team trained in a day. Then Clearlift support, and more routes when you want them.

Questions we get asked

What is an autonomous forklift?

A forklift or stacker that drives, lifts and stacks on its own. EP autonomous models map the building with 3D SLAM and lidar, so they need no reflectors, tape or magnets.

Do autonomous forklifts need Wi-Fi?

Yes, they need Wi-Fi coverage where they work, so they can receive tasks and report back. We check coverage in the site survey.

Can autonomous forklifts work with my WMS?

Yes. EP's DAS software links trucks to WMS and ERP systems, and EP states its fleet software is VDA 5050 compatible.

Are autonomous forklifts safe around people?

They use lidar safety zones that slow and then stop them, plus 3D obstacle detection. We plan speeds, zones and walkways with you before go-live.
